Search for Captioned Videos in Google Video

April 22nd, 2008

Google Video has a new advanced search feature (http://video.google.com/videoadvancedsearch) which allows users to quickly locate all of the closed captioned (CC) videos on the Google Video site. You will need to restrict your search query to the “google.com” domain only, and select the “Search only closed captioned
videos” checkbox to see the relevant results.

Hat tip to Kevin Jones of DCMP! He previously wrote and shared a PDF article explaining how to create captioned flash videos.

    Awesome!!

I blogged about it last year regarding lack of CC directory / search for it. It’s good to know there’s a way around now. Thanks!

I make sure I send a feedback comment every time I do find a site with “some” captioned videos, that they should include searches and identification for movies that are captioned.
