Vlogs can be shot even while on vacation
February 27th, 2007
While working on videos I shot behind the scenes for Mosdeux’s upcoming film, “A Permanent Grave”, I stumbled across my video folder and found two videos from my trip from Washington DC to Los Angeles. I had just finished my masters studies at Gallaudet and was moving west for the second time. My father flew into Denver to meet me and was willing to hold the camcorder.
Wanting to kill time on the road, I edited and captioned the videos on my laptop. This was in August 2004 and I believe it is my first series of captioned video. I cut them up into shorter versions to share with everyone.
The first one is at the Arches National Park of southern Utah. 2 minutes and half in length.

This one was shot on Mount Evans (in honor of Jared’s great grandfather?
). 3 minutes and 40 seconds in length.

Yep, it was good to see those views again. They look just like the pictures that we saw in our family album! You should tell Dad that you have posted those “vlogs” on your website. He would be happy to see them to bring back memories of that trip.
Love you, little brother!

Hey Tayler, Glad you made it to the top of Mt Evans. Like to let you know that it’s not groundhog or beaver. It’s Yellow bellied Marmot. They live around rock and above treeline of mountain especially in thin air. I had seen them on Mt Elbert, the tallest Mountain in Colorado. Yo Rock!
